Sales increased quite fast. Other members of the family joined the enterprise with Giovanni, sharing tasks and assuming responsibilities: overall monitoring of olive crops in order to buy the best output of other mills because Carli mill production was becoming insufficient for the growing demand; preparing and shipping orders; supervising printing output that was the key connection with acquired and potential customers.
1920's
The importance of word-of-mouth advertising carried on by our friendly customers was an important contribution to our success and it was never underestimated by the Carli family. In 1923 we printed and sent a calendar to each of our customers in order to support this lively relationship with them.
The calendar’s simple design and informative content survived generations; still nowadays Clients receive a Carli calendar at the end of each year.

In 1925 we built an analysis laboratory to further assure, with absolute certainty, the quality of Carli products, already subjected to constant controls.
During the same period, we introduced a product made from a derivative of olive oil: a special soap for washing clothes. It was a successful product, initially home made, then entrusted to specialized manufacturers.
In 1927 Fratelli Carli received an important recognition :the company was appointed as supplier to the Papal establishment and was thus authorized to indicate on its labels the Papal Warranty: "By appointment to the Papal Establishment". |
 1930's
Company expansion continued, warehouses and office areas became insufficient. Production facilities were transferred to an area adjacent to the railroad line. Most of the olive oil was sold in demijohns that were shipped by rail and delivered efficiently to customer homes.
A further important recognition came from the Royal House of Savoy; the Royal Warrant, "By appointment to the Royal Household" was then added to Carli labels. The reputation of Carli Olive Oil was such that the Chief Cook of the Royal Household, Amedeo Pettini, agreed to create a Carli Recipes Book, for the celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary in 1936.
Still nowadays a copy of this "Ricettario
Carli" is sent to all Carli customers together with their first order as a welcome gift for joining the Carli family.
