Defoliating and washing the olives

Correct defoliation of the branches and washing of the olives with water improves product quality by eliminating leaves, branches, earth, parasites, etc.
At this point the olives are ready for further phases of the milling process.

 

The most modern processing equipment used today is the continuous cycle Olive Mill, equipped entirely with stainless steel components. The continuous cycle Olive Mill provides the following advantages:

  • A complete hygienic control because the only metal in contact with the crushed mass of olives is stainless steel, that simplifies and increases the effectiveness of Mill washing operations during and after processing
  • A conduction of the system without need of any operator to manipulate the food in process
