Figs Gratin with honey and almonds

Ingredients (For 4 people):
12 washed figs, with stalks removed and cut into 4, 1 tablespoon of Carli Honey, 2 egg whites, 50 ml of Carli “Tradizionale” Cooking Olive Oil, 30 g ground almonds, 30 g of sugar, 50 g of flaked almonds.
 
Time required: 10 minutes preparation time + 20 minutes cooking time

Preparation
Mix together in a large bowl, the ground almonds, the sugar, oil and honey, then add the egg whites without beating them until stiff. Lightly oil an oven proof dish and lay the figs in a star shape on the bottom of the dish. Pour the almond mixture over the figs without covering them completely. Sprinkle with flaked almonds. Cook for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C. Serve warm with frozen yoghurt or vanilla ice cream. You can also make this dish in individual ramekins and use frozen figs if you wish.
